Jon has over ten years of patent prosecution experience with boutique patent law firms and over five years of patent examination experience at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Representative technologies include magnetic and optical tape drives, media element storage libraries, tiered storage systems, multiprocessing systems, satellite imagery processing, distributed computing scheduling systems, security information and event management (SIEM), touch screen design, power equipment, and elevated flooring systems, among other types of mechanical, electromechanical, software, and computer-related arts. In addition to patent prosecution, his practice also includes various types of patent search analyses, due diligence on target portfolios, and related counseling. Jon also has substantial experience prosecuting and managing trademark portfolios as well as policing trademarks and conducting opposition and cancellation proceedings before the USPTO.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys hiking 14-ers and skiing in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and keeping up with his two boys.
