Brad has practiced law as a U.S. patent and intellectual property attorney for over 20 years. He leverages his physics and legal training to help companies protect their intellectual property through careful consideration of their technology, business goals, and markets to craft IP strategies that make sense in terms of business stage and budget. Brad works with clients to develop and manage portfolios of patent and trademark registrations, negotiates technology licensing agreements, provides pre-market product design clearance, and analyzes potential acquisition portfolios. He also often provides patent expertise and analysis when clients find themselves accused of infringement or determines it necessary to enforce patents through litigation.

Brad has worked with client technologies in a number of industries including: mechanical and electro-mechanical devices, cable and satellite broadcasting systems, telecommunications systems, software, video and audio processing, medical devices, batteries, nanotechnology, green energy generation, energy efficient and green construction materials, product packaging, and industrial designs.

Brad is an adult leader for his son’s Boy Scout Troop and a former youth soccer coach. He enjoys getting away to the mountains with his family, skiing, playing soccer, reading fiction, and strumming a guitar.
