Cody was admitted to the Colorado state bar and USPTO patent bar in May of 2021. Prior to law school, Cody earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Colorado State University and worked in the biomedical industry for 5 years, specializing in medical devices and pharmaceuticals. In law school, Cody was the President of the Intellectual Property Law society, conducted directed IP based research, and externed at the United States Patent and Trademark Rocky Mountain Regional Office.
Cody primarily practices patent preparation and prosecution in a variety of technical areas, including biological, chemical, mechanical, software, and electrical arts. His areas of practice focus on patent, trademark, copyright, contracts, and licensing.
Outside of work, Cody is an adventurist at heart. Hiking, mountain biking, skiing, boating, fly fishing, ice fishing, camping, and traveling are a huge part of Cody’s life. He has climbed 11 of Colorado’s fourteeners and plans to climb all 58 in his lifetime.
