Jennifer joined Holzer Patel Drennan as Senior Counsel in 2026, bringing broad expertise in intellectual property prosecution and protection in patents, trademarks, and copyrights, as well as counseling clients on the transactional aspects of all three. She drafts and negotiates a wide range of agreements, conducts IP due diligence and freedom-to-operate reviews, and advises clients on portfolio strategy, licensing, technology transfer and enforcement.
Jennifer is an experienced adviser to corporations, startups, and research institutions in software, mechanical, biotechnology, medical device, and AI-related fields. Her fluency in German afforded her the opportunity to partner with in-house German corporate patent departments (e.g., Bosch, Siemens, Wella, Fischer Autowerk) on global patent portfolio development early in her career.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Jennifer worked as a teacher and journalist, and was a proofreader at Blue Mountain Arts, working alongside famed poet and company co-founder Susan Polis Schutz.
A long-time Boulder resident, Jennifer enjoys biking, hiking, and Pilates, along with attending theater and ballet. She also loves traveling and spending time with her husband, three children, and their two dogs, Willow and Teddy.
